Alexisrouzee 6
hi guys..... well.... was looking at the conditions today and even tho the wind was up a bit i thought i'd give it a go so grabbed all my gear together and set off.... Sun was out and there was alot of activity up at my permission inculding the new wolly mammoth type cows the owner has stuck in the field!! shaggy looking things!! anyway started stalking my way down to one of the warren...... spotted a youngish looking rabbit sitting having a look about.... lasered at 40m.... couldnt stalk any closer as my cover would of been blown so was in the prone position..... steady..... massive wind blew through...... wait for it to dye down...... wait...... TWACK back flip and still.... first one down!! in my stupidness of jumping up and getting it i didnt realise my rifle was slightly on the tilt and..... drop!? f$%k it!! it took the weight of the drop on the scope.... has it knocked the zero.... dought set in!!! couldnt risk it so grabbed bugs and headed of to check my zero and as i walked up to a quiet place to check... 2 rabbits sat there looking at me!! not even 25m away..... couldnt do anything but think ''' i'll be back'' arnie style so checked my zero and nothing... still bang on.... was a bit annoyed with myself but would of been more annoyed and gutted if i missed a shot and harmed something and it managed to get into a burrow and slowly die!! so happy with that i set back of and it was all quiet apart from the wind wistling through the trees.... its a real head bender judging wind speed and then distance and then relate that to your shot and because of that i nearly called it a day but.... a squizzer just happened to poke himself out... no time for laser... guess at 30m and WACK a quick spazim and a tree rat in the bag!! wind then started to dye down and time was getting on so thought i'd take one more walk down to warren no.3 and there she was... a adult rabbit with her back to me.... laser out and it came up at 42m.... okay so no clear shot and unable to stalk around as i would of been straight in the middle of the field.... erm.... grabbed a twing and SNAP.... up her head came and compose....... breeth..... TWACK!! straight onto its side and a leg stretch and cracking head shot!! so 6 hours and 3 in the bag but more importantly a lessoned learned..... DONT KNOCK OVER YOUR RIFLE!!! All the best guys Quote Link to post

Marksman 934
Nice going Alex, small word of advice though, if you're going to use a scrim net, hang it over a rough bush hat or similar. Just to hide the shape of your head  Darryl Quote Link to post
